NYC Opportunity -- Windows Performance Stage, June 30 Deadline

Windows Performance Stage / chashama (New York, NY) – New York City opportunity. A hallmark public art initiative of chashama, the Windows program enlivens vacant storefronts with multi-disciplinary performances and visual installations. There’s no limit to what you can do in a window: Butoh dance, paint portraits, display visual art, modern dance, puppetry, the list is infinite! Performances and installations may be interactive, allowing audience members to creatively contribute to the work made and form a relationship with chashama artists. chashama is currently accepting applications for their window performance stage at 266 West 37th St – located on a highly visible Garment District block and fully equipped with theatrical sound and lighting. Artist receives $50. NO FEE (to apply, but artist provides $75 security deposit if selected). Risa Shoup, Performing Arts Program Director, 201 East 42nd St., Suite 3225-29, New York, NY 10017, T: (212) 391-8151 ext. 26, risa@chashama.org, www.chashama.org/programs.php#cwg.
